Check out Nathaniel Archer, one of our brilliant Uncommon Junior Chefs, and I spend time with the Shelly Miles, host of the San Antonio Living Talk Show on April 18, 2024. So yummy!

Our flight this afternoon to Mexico City with some Uncommon Junior Chefs was so much fun. Plus we had our uncommon superstar friend Chef Maria Flores of Hess Street Foods join us from San Antonio, who connected so well with the students. The aromas in the kitchen were out of this world—onions, 3 kinds of peppers, Mexican oregano, tomatillos, avocados, limes, cilantro, garlic, radishes, fresh tortilla crisps, green onions, and so much more! What a great time learning about Japan and its history, culture, geography, dress, traditions, language, and, of course, food. Our Uncommon Junior Chefs demonstrated to their families yesterday their Japanese cooking techniques as part of our “Uncommon Family Engagement Cooking Lesson Series” at the Texas Education Agency St. Mary's Academy Charter School ACE Program. 65 people were excited for the voyage and loved the Japanese pork tenderloin ramen bowls with in-house made broth and an assortment of toppings. Big thanks to Mr Simonson, Ms Brown, Mr Boatman, and all the parents who joined us!
Thanks Ms Pulido for a few of the pics.
